Foretold: An Advent Series

In Micah 5:2, the prophet speaks a promise that seems almost impossible—out of a small, overlooked town will come the long-awaited Messiah. Centuries later, Matthew and Luke reveal how God brings that promise to fulfillment through the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. What looked insignificant, God intentionally chose. What seemed unlikely, God sovereignly orchestrated. The birthplace of Jesus becomes a testimony that God’s plans are never hindered by obscurity, timing, or circumstance.

In this week’s teaching, Ashley Edgemon invites us to step into the wonder of a God who keeps His word—not abstractly, but in precise, faithful detail. Through Scripture and reflection, he helps us see that the Christmas story is not accidental but foretold—a reminder that God works in the small places of our lives, in the waiting, and in the moments that seem too ordinary to matter.
